The CHARLES RIVER SQUARE video (property now called The Arsenal on the Charles) was prepared by O’Neill Properties (the Developer) to illustrate the proposed new site planning, architectural renovations, and landscaping designs for the historic redevelopment of the former37 acre US Army Materials research campus in Watertown, Massachusetts (project now completed).
This new 700,000 square foot corporate campus involved renovations of twelve existing historic buildings, demolition of some structures to allow construction of a new six-story 1,300 car parking structure. The largest existing building measured 950’ x 150’, as part of the redevelopment this building received two new floors providing 347,000 SF of Class ‘A’ office space within one building.
The project involved extensive ‘Brownfield’ cleanup and Military Base Closure Reuse environmental work.
The renovated property was successfully sold to Harvard University in early 2001 just prior to the finish of construction.
This video was produced by Park Place, Inc. and is gratefully used here with the approval of O’Neill Properties the developer.

This ‘Time Lapse’ video will demonstrate the use of WebCam equipment we are currently using on various construction projects to aid us in conducting 3rd party construction phase inspections.
This equipment delivers constant ‘real time’ images of construction activities directly to our computer desk top in our Concord, Massachusetts offices from construction sites around the county. We employ this WebCam technology to support our actual visits to the construction site allowing a daily check of the work in progress and local weather conditions. |
